KATRINA AVILA MUNICHIELLO: "A Tea Reader" (Book Rack)

Friday, March 2, 2012 - 3:00pm

Katrina MunichielloA Tea Reader: Living Life One Cup at a Time is a collection of non-fiction essays, old and new, inspired by tea. Contributors include noted tea experts Jane Pettigrew, Roy Fong, Winnie Yu, and James Norwood Pratt, writers from the past such as Louisa May Alcott and Rudyard Kipling, as well as ordinary tea lovers. The intent is to show that tea is far more than something that quenches your thirst. Tea provides comfort, a time for reflection, and a starting point for conversation. Tea plays a supporting role in the stories of our lives. A Tea Reader aims to share the ways that tea has changed our lives, one cup at a time.

Katrina Ávila Munichiello was born and raised in a mill town in central Maine. She has long studied the properties, production, origins, and industry of tea, and she launched teapages.blogspot.com in 2007. Katrina offers copywriting services for tea and food companies and writes for consumer and trade publications in the areas of food and tea (with a particular focus on food allergies), New England, and parenting issues. Katrina currently lives in Massachusetts with her husband and three children.

You’re invited to join Katrina for a special reading and tea event at the Book Rack. The cost of attending ($20) includes high tea with the author and a personalized copy of A Tea Reader. Please RSVP to events(at)hugobooksinc.com by Monday, February 27, 2012.
